If you are seeking emergency assistance or need to report concerns related to ICE detention, several resources are available:
ICE ERO Detention Reporting and Information Line (DRIL):
Phone: 1-888-351-4024
Hours: Monday to Friday (excluding holidays), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time
Purpose: This line allows detainees, family members, community members, and stakeholders to report concerns regarding ICE detention, such as instances of assault or abuse, serious problems in detention, issues with mental health conditions, separation of children, legal access, and victims of human trafficking.
ICE Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR):
Phone: 833-4ICE-OPR (833-442-3677)
Purpose: To report misconduct by facility staff or ICE officers.
Online Form: Available on the ICE website.
DHS Office of the Immigration Detention Ombudsman (OIDO):
Purpose: Provides independent oversight of DHS immigration detention.
Intake Form: Complaints can be submitted online in English or Spanish, or by mail. OIDO operates independently of ICE and CBP.
DHS Office of the Inspector General (OIG):
Phone: 1-800-323-8603
Purpose: To report various forms of misconduct, including fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement within DHS.
